To Endorse or Not, That is the question!

Posted on Feb 25th, 2009 by heemes : Philosophy Minor, Life Major heemes
Whether 'tis nobler to endorse without commenting when nothing relevant comes to mind -or- just wait until a better opportunity to endorse and comment arrives.

What is your approach to this while here on Gaia?

Although I loathe being the first to comment on my own blog AND as a definite off-topic comment…

I just had to do it.

From the profile of Dave:

Culture, computers, video games, social networks, you name it. If its new, shiny, and exciting, I want in.

Except for the video games, this is so me too!  Yeah, Dave!

I’ll take it that “uh huh” translates into a wee bit more than an endorsement.  :-)

When I visit, I prefer not to be fake in what I have to say, so if I can’t think of anything …. I drop a seed on the “I endorse this” button and move on.  Always done with love!

I try to remember to leave a seed but although I have begged whined and pleaded it is still not possible to leave more than one seed per click and I get bored waiting for stuff so I rarely leave more than one even for things I love.
Sometimes I leave a comment but more often I just read. I leave comments most often with the people I talk back and forth with and then also if a post is provocative in the good way. I love reading comments so possibly it would be good to leave more of them? Hmmm.

Rachel and Tink, your comments are appreciated.

Seeds are good things -and- sometimes I confuse them with people actually reading but not endorsing.

I think it’s good not to pay too much attention to those numbers of things - if people click on a page with multiple posts only the first one registers hit points. If people give you five seeds it looks like five more hits. None of that really matters, it’s just us talking with one another.

Understood, Jeannie, but there is this quantitative part of me that wants to know.  I mean, it is knowable, right?  But you’re probably, in the long run, right about focusing on the communication.
